Allan Schweyer ­ The Full Circle Feedback Award for Best HR Strategic Plan

Allan Schweyer trained as a labor market economist and has contributed to the field for almost two decades. He is the author of two books, Talent Management Systems (Wiley&Sons, 2004 and 2009). Allan is an internationally respected analyst and speaker on the topic of transformational human capital management for individuals, organisations, regions and nations. In 2009 he was recognized as among the "100 Most Influential People in HR and Talent Management".

Allan's contributions include the development of award-winning workforce management and information systems for government, international organizations and the private sector. In 2000 and 2001, he worked as a management consultant to Reed Business Information in Boston while attending graduate school at Harvard University. Directly prior to joining HCI, Allan was a senior researcher, analyst and consultant with HR.com servicing large private and public sector clients worldwide. Allan's articles and white papers appear in dozens of popular media and industry specific publications worldwide.

Aprajita's role at IBM sees her take responsibility of Strategy for the Strategic Outsourcing (SO) business. The role entails providing strategic and analytical support to IBM and customers in relation to key strategic issues related to the SO business and to develop sales and marketing strategies for new business development. She also provides support to management and customers in understanding the impact, pros and cons of investments or go-to-market approaches for newer partnerships and new generation SO delivery models.

Previously she was Program Head with global analyst organisation, IDC and prior to that spent a number of years at Wipro Limited in India. Her areas of particular focus during her career have been on business growth in delivery-based operational and front line sales activities within IT organisations. Her areas of expertise include providing actionable, executable and realistic analysis, and providing advice at the macro and micro levels within ICT Services, primarily within IT and Business Process Outsourcing.

Daljit Singh is the Director of Talent Management with the Global Talent Management team of Baker & McKenzie, and is based in Sydney. He has been responsible for leading several key global projects for the Firm such as development of a global competency framework for all lawyers that is driving all of the Firm's Talent Management applications as well as global initiatives in leadership development. Daljit holds Masters Degrees in Economics and Education as well as an MBA with a special focus on Human Resources. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie, he held senior positions with KPMG in Australia as well as globally.

Jim Nolan ­ The Neller HR Champion (CEO) Award

Jim joined General Electric in March 1999, initially working in the GE Money business as HR Leader for GE Money's Operations centres in the UK and Ireland. Whilst with GE in the UK, Jim worked as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and also led the HR integration for one of GE Money's major European acquisitions. Moving to Australia in September 2004 Jim was the HR Leader for three of GE Money's major business units; Cards Solutions; Retail Finance and the newly formed Money Direct business. In January 2006 Jim moved in to the role of Organisational and Staffing Leader for GE Money, with responsibility for career and talent management for GE Money across Australia and New Zealand. Jim took up his present role in April of 2007.

Prior to working for GE, Jim worked for Barclays Bank in many roles within HR: Learning and Development, Cultural Change programs and Human Resources Generalist leadership roles. He also has banking experience in the areas of International Banking, Mortgages and Estate Management.

Julie Mills has been a driving force behind the RCSA's growth in terms of membership, public profile and impact on policy issues, over the past decade. Her recent achievements include the successful launch of remaginet, the commercial arm of the RCSA which delivers education and business services. Julie represents the recruitment industry on a number of panels and committees and in a range of speaking forums. She has become an important voice in the employment and industrial relations landscape, a fact demonstrated by her appointment to bodies including the Federal Government's Business Advisory Group.

Kevin has been in the learning and development industry for more than 20 years. He co-authored an internationally acclaimed book on the subject and has contributed to many other publications in Australia and overseas as well as speaking at conferences in Australia, the USA, Malaysia, Thailand and New Zealand. His work has received many awards and he is a trusted adviser and consultant for a number of regular clients of his consulting firm, Endeavour Training and Development, now in its 22nd year.

Klaus currently leads Human Resources for eBay Asia Pacific and has a team of HR professionals in Australia, Singapore, India, Korea, Japan and Greater China. Klaus is responsible for a suite of businesses including eBay, PayPal, Skype and Classifieds. Previously he was the founder and principal of Irrelach Consulting Pty Limited, a consultancy focused on delivering Outsourced Human Resources Solutions to small and medium sized organisations.

Klaus has gained his extensive human resources experience in industry sectors including the pharmaceutical, fast moving consumer goods, high technology, eCommerce and mobile telecommunications sectors. Additionally he has had experience delivering human resources solutions throughout countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, United States of America, United Kingdom and South Africa.

He believes in bringing a robust commercially orientated human resources approach to the organisations that he and his teams are engaged with.

Les Pickett's professional career has taken him to more than twenty different countries. He has held senior executive positions in a number of leading Australian organisations and has consulted internationally on human capital capability development, leadership and managerial effectiveness. His last corporate role was General Manager Management Services Coles Myer. He then spent some time as Senior Advisor and Deputy Director United Nations System Staff College. He is currently Chief Executive of Pacific Rim Consulting Group and a Partner of Australasia and South East Asia for McBassi & Company.

Les is a member of the International Board of Advisors to the International Public Management Association for Human Resources and Ambassador to the UK based business led international think tank Tomorrow's Global Company.

Nareen Young

Nareen Young was appointed CEO for Diversity Council Australia (DCA) in June 2007 after working for DCA for two years as a Senior Consultant. The CEO appointment is the most recent highlight in her notable career as a senior strategic diversity practitioner and acknowledges her role as one of Australia's leading strategic diversity practitioners and thought leaders. In early 2009 Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard appointed Nareen, representing DCA, to Chair the Judging and Accreditation Panel for the revamped National Work/Life Awards.

Nareen was the Director of the NSW Working Women's Centre, funded by Federal and NSW Governments, from 1998 to 2005. In 2003 she was nominated for a Human Rights Award and Medal for her leadership at the NSW Working Women's Centre in "developing and implementing innovative and sustained activities " so that the Centre was an accessible service and could play a significant role in employment matters in New South Wales.

Prior to her appointment at the NSW Working Women's Centre, Nareen was a trade union official and during this time served in female affirmative action positions.

Robert R. Orth ­ The HR Partners Award for Best HR Leader

Robert Orth joined IBM Australia in 1982. Prior to this, he was a serving officer (Flight Lieutenant) in the Royal Australian Air Force. He was appointed to his current role in March 2002 having previously held the role of Director of Talent for IBM Asia Pacific for 4 years. In his Asia Pacific role, Mr Orth travelled widely across the Region and to Europe and the USA.

During his tenure, as A/NZ Human Resources Director, IBM Australia has been recognised for its leadership in Human Resources including awards for: the Prime Minister Employer of the Year Award; ACCI Gold National Work and Family Award; Government Award for Employer Champion for Mature Age Workers; EOWA Employer of Choice for Women ­ for 7 years; Gold' rating in the Corporate Responsibility Index, and Best Recruitment Strategy.

Over the past 27 years Mr Orth has held various management positions in IBM; 16 years of these in line management positions in Sales and Marketing and a number of regional positions in Australia/New Zealand. He is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute and on the Boards of IBM Australia Limited and the Diversity Council of Australia.

Steve Reid ­ The Award for Next HR Generation

Steve has taken up his current role whilst continuing to lead the people aspects of the merger between Vodafone and Hutchison Telecoms. In his HR role he leads many of the HR disciplines for the company including Recruitment & Retention, Employer Branding, Health & Well Being, Remuneration and Payroll, HR Systems and Performance Management. For the four years previous, Steve was in a similar role as Head of HR & Organisation Capability at 3 (Hutchison Telecoms). Prior to this he was National Manager Learning and Organisation Development for six years, guiding the Learning, OD and Cultural Development strategy through two start up businesses and some large scale change efforts, including the establishment of a 1400 seat Contact Centre in Mumbai, India.

Prior to joining Hutchison, Steve spent some years in Consultancy in both his own and larger consulting businesses. His main focus was Training & Development, Management development and culture change, working as far afield as Siberia in Russia and culminating in a major culture renewal project for BHP in North QLD. Along the way he also managed to spend two years at Optus in Learning & Development.

Steve Rowe began his career in the mid-80s working in HR with Honeywell Control Systems in the UK. He then moved into investment banking to become an HR Director at UBS in 1996. Steve also set up and ran a UK management consulting business, Malthouse Consulting Limited. In 2002, Steve and his family moved to Australia where he worked in financial services before transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry with Pfizer. Steve currently leads the Management and Support Human Resources team for Pfizer for Asia spanning 16 countries and 300 HR colleagues.

Steve has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Philosophy from the University of Keele, is a graduate of the UK Institute of Personnel Development, and a past Member of the Institute of Directors (UK). He has experience in key Human Resources areas including HR strategy, organisational culture, recruitment and selection; performance measurement and management, reward and recognition, leadership development and remuneration and benefits.

Wendy has more than 20 years experience in leadership and senior executive roles in top 100 ASX companies across a range of industries including telecommunications, financial services and information technology. Most recently, as a Director of Vodafone Australia, she was part of a dynamic executive team driving Vodafone's business turnaround and a key contributor in shaping Vodafone's global approach to Human Capital management. As Chair of the Vodafone Foundation, Wendy created a new vision and strategy expanding its reach and impact.

Prior to Vodafone, Wendy spent 17 years in senior roles in financial services where she led the Australian people strategy for one of Australia's largest corporate transactions, the demerger of AMP. Wendy is a strong thought leader sharing her insights and ideas at industry forums and one-on-one with other professionals & CEO's ­ in line with her overall goal of driving great people practice to get better industry outcomes for corporate Australia.

Angela Jones-Blayney ­ The SageCo Award for Employer of Choice (Public Sector) Manager Organisational Development City of Sydney

Angela Jones-Blayney is the Manager Organisational Development at the City of Sydney. Angela¹s responsibilities include Human Resource strategic planning, working with managers to resolve high priority Human Resource and training and development issues, financial management, performance management, dispute resolution and the development and implementation of organisational change programs. Angela is also responsible for the development and implementation of the City of Sydney Women in Leadership program which is responsible for formulating strategies to increase and retain women in Local Government.

Angela has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Science and in her graduation year was awarded the prize for ³Best Overall Graduating Student². Prior to working at the City of Sydney, Angela was employed as an Acoustic Engineer where she worked on significant projects such as the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.

Kerry Fallon Horgan, Managing Partner Flexibility At Work

She has worked with managers, HR professionals and employees from a diverse range of Australian organisations including the finance, retail, construction, mining, manufacturing, public and community sectors. An acknowledged expert in her field, Kerry regularly speaks at Conferences and comments in the media on work/life and diversity issues. Kerry is also the CEO of the Women¹s Healing Organisation International.
