Methodology

Methodology - The Australian HR Awards

· Stage 1 - Nominations
Nominations are made online. You can nominate in as many or as few categories as you would like at no cost. Colleagues, peers, and industry contacts are encouraged to recognise the best in the industry. Self-nominations are also welcome.

· Stage 2 - Research
Extensive phone research will follow up the nomination process. This will ensure that the nomination process has not missed out on anyone worthy of a nomination, and will also verify the nominations that have been received, and find out if the nomination is widely accepted to be deserved.

· Stage 3 - Finalists chosen
Key Media, the organisers of the Australian HR Awards, will review the nominations and thoroughly cross-check them with the response from the telephone research. The finalists will then be chosen from both pools of information, to ensure the finalists are truly considered by their peers to deserve the finalist nomination.

· Stage 4 - Finalists notified
All finalists in the Australian HR Awards will be notified by phone or e-mail to let them know the good news. Finalists will also be announced online at the beginning of September and will receive a package in the post explaining the next steps.

· Stage 5 - Finalists' submissions
The finalist package will include a submission form which includes 8-10 targeted questions per category. Finalists will then have to prove why they deserve their nomination and why they deserve to win. Finalists are encouraged to be truthful, honest, creative and prove how they fulfil each requirement to win the award.

· Stage 6 - Judges' decision
A panel of esteemed industry judges will be chosen from the human resource industry and invited to judge the finalists' submissions. They will be well-known and well respected by their industry peers and their judgement will be impartial, balanced, incisive and fair. They will review the finalists' submissions and decide on the winner for each category. The winners will be announced at the event.
